Kaylene Fisbeck
Director, Preschool Teacher
I was born and raised in Loveland, Colorado. I graduated from Thompson Valley and moved to Fort Collins to attend CSU in the fall of 2005. I studied Human Development and Family Studies with an emphasis in Early Childhood. My junior year I did my practicum at The Boys and Girls Club as a tutor for elementary children, as well as helped with their summer program. My senior year I did my internship at Bennett Elementary in the first-grade classroom. I graduated in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in HDFS and stayed with my job in retail management. I welcomed my daughter Elsie into the world in December 2013. I love being a mom and love spending time with my daughter. She has been such a blessing to my life.
In our free time, Elsie and I love fishing, swimming, and being outdoors. We love playing board games and spending time with family. I love music and going to shows, Red Rocks is one of my favorites. We love animals! We have 2 cats, Barbie and Fluffer and 1 dog, Bear. Elsie would have 20 dogs if I let her!
Elsie went to Little Lambs for 2 years and we started attending St. Peter around that time. I officially became a member of St. Peter soon after. I am so thankful for such a welcoming, loving, church family. I have taught Sunday School at St. Peter and love being involved in the children’s programs and activities. I am continually growing and learning in my faith, and I absolutely love sharing Jesus’ love for us with my preschoolers.
Cheryl Quandt
My name is Cheryl Quandt. My husband Kris and I joined as members of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in May when we moved to Severance from Longmont, CO. We are transplants to Colorado from Wisconsin and Illinois. I have lived several places in the United States; my father was a Lutheran pastor, and we typically moved every two – five years. I graduated college with a teacher’s degree and taught high school for six years. After getting married I was a substitute teacher of all grades for over twelve years. My husband and I have one adult son (Jesse) who is currently living in Hawaii working as a park ranger. We are very proud of him. I am very blessed to have the opportunity to work with your children and the fine staff of Little Lambs Pre-school. It will be my pleasure sharing God’s love with your precious ones.
