Director, Preschool Teacher
I was born and raised in Loveland, Colorado. I actually attended St. Peter Lutheran School (now Little Lambs Preschool!) from second to fifth grade and those years were my favorite grade school years of all. I cherish memories from those years to this day. I graduated from Loveland High School in 2011, and from there I attended Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN, where I received a bachelor’s degree in Educational Studies. I moved back to Loveland, CO after college, and began a career in the medical field. I cared for the elderly and was a phlebotomist for a number of years.
I have been praying for some time that God would lead me in a direction that allowed me to share my faith with others on a daily basis, especially with young children. I love sharing God’s Word with my daughter, and watching her love for Jesus grow every day. When the opportunity arose to be a part of Christ’s ministry at St. Peter & Little Lambs, I was filled with joyful emotion. I couldn’t be more humbled and thankful to have been called to be a part of his work at Little Lambs Preschool.
My daughter, Esmae, just turned two! She and I love to spend our free time outdoors, reading, and exploring. I enjoy running long distance, time spent with family, and trying new recipes whether baking or cooking.
“’For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'” Jeremiah 29:11
Assistant Director, Preschool Teacher
I was born and raised in the tiny town of Brillion, WI, but moved to Gainesville, FL just before beginning high school. After high school I attended Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN, where I graduated with a degree in early childhood education. After graduating, I put my degree to use in TN where I worked as a preschool teacher for two years before moving to CO in 2019. I have been very blessed to continue working with preschool children here at Little Lambs, and am excited to educate and share God’s Word with little ones! In my free time I enjoy teaching myself ukulele and piano and exploring Colorado!
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the LORD your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9
My name is Cheryl Quandt. My husband Kris and I joined as members of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in May when we moved to Severance from Longmont, CO. We are transplants to Colorado from Wisconsin and Illinois. I have lived several places in the United States; my father was a Lutheran pastor and we typically moved every two – five years. I graduated college with a teacher’s degree and taught high school for six years. After getting married I was a substitute teacher of all grades for over twelve years. My husband and I have one adult son (Jesse) who is currently serving in the Marines and stationed in Kosovo where he is assisting the Ukranian refugees. We are very proud of him. I am very blessed to have the opportunity to work with your children and the fine staff of Little Lambs Pre-school. It will be my pleasure sharing God’s love with your precious ones.
